Hi Cindy - I read Toni’s note on the NPN forum and have been checking there for news. Just saw your note posted there as well as here. I can’t understand how the hospitals can treat someone in need this way. Your mention of having some tests today must mean you finally got some help. I’ll be thinking of you and will check the NPN forum thread for any news. Take care. - bev
Oh Cindy - All good thoughts and prayers for you. Hope you’re finally getting the help you need. Garry: we’re thinking of you, too, and wishing you well at this difficult time. Blessings for you both.
I’m sitting here thinking about all the trials and setbacks you’ve suffered in the last year. It seems incredible that someone as vibrant and alive as you is enduring so much. I hope that these hardships will soon pass, and that you can resume immersing yourself in the wild world, to the greatest extent that you are capable of.
Just wanted you to know that you, and your husband, are in my thoughts. Get well.
MORNING POEM
Every morning
the world
is created.
Under the orange
sticks of the sun
the heaped
ashes of the night
turn into leaves again
and fasten themselves to the high branches–
and the ponds appear
like black cloth
on which are painted islands
of summer lilies.
If it is your nature
to be happy
you will swim away along the soft trails
for hours, your imagination
alighting everywhere.
And if your spirit
carries within it
the thorn
that is heavier than lead -
if it’s all you can do
to keep on trudging -
there is still
somewhere deep within you
a beast shouting that the earth
is exactly what it wanted -
each pond with its blazing lilies
is a prayer heard and answered
lavishly,
every morning,
whether or not
you have ever dared to be happy,
whether or not
you have ever dared to pray
Hi Cindy,
I guess I have been away far to long, and had no clue until today just what you have been going through.
Sweetheart, ….. you just hang in there!
You have a lot of prayers going for you right now, and I am certain you will come out on the end of this in good shape.
You may lack a few of the things you enjoy doing for awhile, but just remember, ….. “life always matters”, and the most important thing is to lick this, and to kick it in the pants.
You’ll be fine, … I am sure of it!
Girl, … you just take it easy.
Love you, and always wishing you the best in your recovery!
Cindy, I’ve just visited here for the first time since returning from overseas; like all the others who’ve commented here, I wish you all the best. I’ll keep checking, with the expectation that your situation will improve. Kia kaha, e hoa; be strong, my friend.
